I’ve known Griffan for over 10 years. We have seen each other through a lot of good times and not so good times. I couldn’t have been more happy for her when she met Rich. They compliment each other perfectly!
I was lucky enough to catch their proposal, and was so honored that she asked me to capture their special day. What do you get when you take pictures of one of your best friends’ Catholic wedding? The world’s longest blog post! So, sit back and get comfy~ha ha. 🙂
They got ready at the Watertown Hotel…
Griffan gave Rich these cufflinks. They are a map of London (this is where Rich was traveling when he gave Griffan the first indication that he “liked” her)~how cool!
Rich’s gift to Griffan. These two document and save everything. It truly is amazing, and I wish I was so good!We decided to do the first look down at Lake Union. It holds special meaning to them, since that is where Griffan worked when they met both working at Seattle Mortgage 🙂This picture cracks me up. It had been nice and calm all day. Then, right after their first look, the winds were blowing. We couldn’t get any pictures with Griffan’s veil blowing out of control, but this just captures their personalities perfectly 🙂Griffan, you are STUNNING!!!!!Kristal, at Sublime Stems did an amazing job with the flowers!!I love this moment. I have no idea what Rich was whispering to Griffan, but it’s perfect. How perfect that they got married the day before Mother’s Day! Beautiful Momma and daughter…
They had the reception at the Tyee Yacht Club down on Lake Union. Rasa and Erika from PlanningSavvy.com did an amazing job setting the room up and facilitating the entire night!
We stole a few minutes as the sun was going down to grab a few more pictures…The speeches were amazing…Levi stole the dance floor!Although, Anya was right on his heels 🙂Fun Scotch and cigar table…LOVE these last two 🙂Griffan and Rich~I love you both, and am SO honored that I got to be part of your special day. xoxo! BIG thank you to my mom who 2nd shot with me. I couldn’t have done this without you!!! And…to my dad who stayed with the Peanut Butter all day. Love you both!
These are without question the most beautiful pictures – EVER! Head over heels in love!
Lauren you captured every moment on their special day!
Ummm wow. I’m thinking about hiring you for a personal professional shoot now!
Will there be other photos available to view from the reception?
Lauren, how do you make photographs appear better than being there? Of course my eyes were a little clouded over. These are amazing and capture the day so beautifully. Nobody could have done it better. Of course it helps when your Photographer’s heart is really into her subject matter, doesn’t it!
Stunning job. Gorgeous photography and very engaging composition. Congrats to you and your mom on such splendid work.
[…] thanks to Griffan and Rich, who bought this session as a present for Rachel! What a great idea…pictures for a present […]
