I had only met Karen and Jason 3 weeks ago when I did their engagement pictures, but it only took one meeting to feel like they were friends! They are the quintessential yin to yang. Jason is a little more quiet, while Karen is a little more outgoing. Let’s be honest, it’s probably her zest for a good belly laugh that made me feel like I’d found a kindred spirit~ha! 🙂
The wedding was on Friday night at the Blue Ribbon Cooking & Culinary Center, and Seattle decided to be nice to us and give us amazing blue skies and sunny weather (which have been seriously lacking of late!). It was perfect for the outdoor ceremony they had planned overlooking Lake Union.
Here’s the nice set up in the bridal suite…
Karen’s dress fit her like a glove…beautiful! And how fun are those shoes??? They even have a yellow heart on them 🙂Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue! Inscribed inside Karen’s wedding band…Karen Loves Jason Loves. 🙂Jason getting ready!Karen getting ready for the first look. Can’t say enough good things about the first look! Such a great time for the couple to see each other before the wedding by themselves and get a few portraits without having to worry about all their guests waiting for them. Awe…Nothing like a little butt grab on your wedding day 😉One of my many favorites…It was hard, but I think this is my favorite! One word Karen~stunning!LOVED these bridesmaids dresses! The whole “you can wear it again” actually applies!!There were so many great details to the night. Bagpiper? Yes!Could Karen’s dad be any cuter? Nope!Blue Ribbon does all the table set ups, flowers, catering, and cake! It looked amazing. Karen had done each table with places she and Jason had traveled with little photo books for the guests to look at. Such a great idea!Favors that were around the table. “A pinch of joy”…Let me just take a moment to thank Damin for insisting I try one of Karen’s white chocolate covered red velvet cake pops. OMG~DELICIOUS!!!!Of course a culinary center would have amazing looking food! The speeches… There was laughter, tears, a “live long and prosper”, and even a fight over who gets credit for Karen and Jason being together! Not a dull moment at this wedding! 🙂
And there was KARAOKE by the amazing DJ’s Troy and Scott!Congratulations Karen and Jason! It was a perfect night, and I feel so fortunate that I got to be a part of it!!
